We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Finance and Administration Manager to join our College in a permanent, full time capacity.

About the role:

Reporting to the Business Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial, administration and payroll activities of the College ensuring all statutory accounting and reporting functions are fulfilled. The role includes collaborating with staff across all departments within the College to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Financial Management and Accounting

- Managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and the effective operation of the Administration Office.
- Providing support and advice to staff in reconciling expense claims.
- Providing support and advice to staff who require financial assistance with the Online Store, excursions, overseas tours and booklists.
- Overseeing the financial management of the College's Uniform Shop, CareerLink and external hire of the Theatre.
- Providing financial support to staff on special projects.
- Developing and reviewing of finance and administration policies and procedures.

  • Financial Reporting

- Ensuring professional accounting reporting standards are in place and are complied with.
- Managing internal accounting records.
- Conducting monthly bank reconciliations and cash flow analysis.
- Preparation of statutory government and CEWA returns. 
- Preparation of management reports for the Finance Committee and attend the Finance Committee's monthly meetings.

  • Finance Administration

- Management of staff in the Administration Department, monitoring work flow, setting targets and performing annual appraisals.
- Collaborating with other College staff members and providing proactive support and advice on financial matters.

Qualifications:

  • Formal Accounting qualifications and a tertiary degree. 
  • CPA or CA qualified or working towards qualification (desirable).
