Sacred Heart Netball Club fields teams in the Winter and Spring competitions at Wanneroo Districts Netball Association (WDNA). Games are played at Kingsway Sports Grounds on a Saturday (Winter) or Wednesday night (Spring). The Winter season runs in Terms 2 and 3 and the Spring season runs during Term 4.

The Club focuses on girls having fun, building friendships, inclusivity and getting some exercise. We do not grade teams and the players usually arrange their own teams which they submit to us. However, in Year 7 and for new students to the school, we will work with the players to arrange suitable teams for them.

  • President/Coordinator: Amanda Androszczuk
  • Equipment Officer/Grading Coordinator: Kate Williams

Welcome back to all of the existing SHC Netball Club players and families and to the new players and families who have started at the school this year!

The SHC Netball Club is a school club which prides itself on fun, friendship and inclusivity. Each year, the Club registers 15 to 19 teams in the Winter League and 7 to 9 teams for the Spring season.

The Club has a Committee who, along with various school staff members, volunteer their time to help with various tasks and events throughout the year so that the students can enjoy playing the game with their school friends. The Club is always looking for additional help and there are lots of volunteering opportunities e.g. helping as a Committee Member, becoming a team Coach or Manager, volunteering at Kingsway when our club is scheduled and helping out at the end of Winter Season Wind-up evening.

Who can play?

Please note that ONLY SACRED HEART STUDENTS can play in Sacred Heart netball teams. This is a requirement of the school and a condition of using the Sacred Heart name.

Most players have played at primary school, but no previous player experience is necessary.

WDNA (Wanneroo Districts Netball Association) are encouraging all clubs to consider entering teams for the Boys and Mixed competitions, to be played on Friday nights (TBC and subject to numbers registered). Please let us know if you are interested. Girls can play in the Mixed league in addition to their Saturday games or only in Mixed if they choose.

Players can register to join the SHC Netball Club HERE. Payment will be made at the same time as the registration. Team Managers should email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to advise of teams, so they can be added to the PlayHQ system.

All Year 7 players are required to attend the Allocation and Grading session held at the College's outdoor courts from 3:30pm - 4:30pm on Thursday 3 March. This helps ensure all players are allocated into a team and WDNA are advised of an appropriate recommended Division placing.

The girls will generally play in the following age groups this year:

  • Year 7 (13 & Under) – 10.00am
  • Years 8 and 9 (15 & Under) – 11.30am
  • Years 10, 11 and 12 (18 & Under) – 1.00pm
  • Boys and Mixed - games and times TBC (potentially Friday evenings)

Please note that these times are subject to the number of registrations received and may change before the commencement of the season.

fees payable

Registration fees will be $245.26 (17 & U) and $232.17 (18 & U) (plus a credit card fee) per player when registering via the PlayHQ site. This includes WDNA and Netball WA registration fees, City of Wanneroo fees, umpires fees, purchase of equipment and a wind-up at the end of the season. Fees are payable via the PlayHQ registration page for Sacred Heart College Netball Club. All payments need to be received before playing the first game.

Players will not be able to take the court unless payment is received.

The Uniform Shop is open for fittings and orders for netball dresses during Weeks 4 and 5 of Term 1 (Monday 21 February, Wednesday 23 February, Monday 28 February and Wednesday 2 March). Please note these dates in your diary.

Limited second hand uniforms are available. If you have a uniform to sell, please visit the Uniform Shop ASAP.

With approval from WDNA, the players may be allowed to wear a singlet top (the same material as the Netball dress) and red SHC sport shorts.

Any specific queries regarding the uniform should be directed to the Uniform Shop during their opening hours. General rules to note are:

  • Black boy leg shorts are to be worn underneath the dress.
  • Standard school socks are part of the netball uniform.

More information regarding uniforms will follow.

The outdoor courts at Sacred Heart College are available for training after school. There is no need to book a day as there enough space to cater for everyone, however, please expect that you may have to share a court with another team. Please also be aware that in Term 2, two courts will be used by the College for NAS interschool netball games.

Coaches are parent or student volunteers. Training days are determined by the team (although obviously needs to be a time suitable for the Coach). There are limited opportunities for older students to coach NAS teams. Please advise if interested, or if your team needs a coach.

coaches and managers

All teams must register with at least one adult as Coach or Manager who is willing to act as a team contact and is available on Saturdays (and Friday evenings if Mixed or Boys teams) to be at matches.

You will be able to nominate as Coach or Manager during the registration process, or once teams have been confirmed. If you have or are a senior student or ex-student who would like to coach a younger team, please advise us by contacting This email address is being protected from spambots. If you are qualified and would like to umpire, please refer to the WDNA website for more information.

At this point in time, WDNA are still waiting to hear from City of Wanneroo regarding COVID-19 restrictions for the season. The information will be passed on to everyone via the team Coaches and Managers as soon as we hear and your patience is appreciated.

Please let us know if you have any other questions. We hope everyone is looking forward to another great year of Netball.
