Sacred Heart continued its success in athletics by winning the ACC 'A' Division Carnival for the 20th time in succession. In a brilliant all round performance, the College won by a massive 290 points. This was Sacred Heart’s second biggest winning margin ever and the second largest for any school for the last 25 years in the 'A' Division. The College won all seven trophies on offer - Junior Boys, Senior Boys, Aggregate Boys, Junior Girls, Senior Girls, Aggregate Girls and the Overall Aggregate. The total score of 1940 points was the highest total ever.

The win had special significance, being the final leg of the “octriple” – winning the 'A' Division Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics Carnivals in the same year for eight years in a row. Sacred Heart is the only school to have won the “triple crown” in the history of the ACC, once in 2003 and now in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. The College has now won 26 major carnivals in succession.

I would sincerely like to thank all of our athletes and coaches for their outstanding contribution to this year’s success. Thank you to Mr Stack, Mr Skerratt, Mr Gravestock, Miss Wood, Miss Tedesco, Mr Nelson and Mr Popiel.
