The 2018 Robocup National Titles were held in Melbourne last weekend. The event was also the qualifying tournament for next year's Robocup World Championships and the World Robot Olympiad competition, meaning the quality of the teams was outstanding.

There were 720 students competing from all states, as well as international teams, making it the largest robotics event in Australia.

It was an exhausting three days but an outstanding effort from our students saw all teams reach the elimination stages and our Year 8 team of Keegan Watson, Liam Ferreira and Jeff Liu (absent) finish third in Maze Rescue.

It is likely that at least one (and possibly two) of our teams will be invited to compete in the Robocup World Championships in Sydney next year.

Congratulations to all students who participated:
