A huge congratulations to Scott Guerini (Class of 2023), Founder of Scott's Great Walk for Telethon, who has today been named in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours list. Scott has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the General Division for his outstanding service to the community through charitable organisations.
Scott’s journey began in 2010 when he was just 4 years old and inspired by a Kindy lesson. Determined to help sick children, he did the hardest thing he could think of: walking 25km from his family farm to town - an 8.5-hour effort that followed two weeks of convincing his parents. Since then, he’s walked more than 1,100km, including marathons and an 82km international hike, raising over $220,000 for Telethon7 Perth with the support of his community.
Beyond his incredible fundraising efforts, Scott is also a published author, motivational speaker, and podcaster - using every platform to inspire others and live by his motto: “It’s easy to make a difference. What can you do?”
Scott, we are incredibly proud of all you’ve achieved and are absolutely thrilled to see your impact recognised on a national stage. Well done!
