james carmody culturalJames Carmody from the Class of 2013 has pursued his dreams to become a TV News Journalist. After graduating from Sacred Heart, James studied Journalism at university and during this time also worked writing and presenting news at a community radio station. He then landed a job as a TV News Reporter at Channel 10, before eventually reporting for radio, online and television with ABC where he has had the opportunity to travel the state, covering anything from bushfires and cyclones to crime and politics.

During his time at Sacred Heart, James always enjoyed Mr Clarke's Media classes and said there was no doubt that they provided a solid base for launching a career in the media. He also said: "Along with a fantastic education and some life long friends, the values the College promotes have placed me in good stead in the short five years since I graduated. Sacred Heart has a wealth of experienced, supportive and brilliant teachers and staff members".

It was a pleasure catching up with James and we look forward to seeing him broadcasting on ABC Perth.
