jessica bratich johnson sportingJessica Bratich-Johnson (Class of 1998) has a passion for creativity and she has turned this passion into great success when she launched her own very cool accessories label www.jessicabratich.com in 2012. We were privileged to have Jessica involved with our 50th celebrations; designing the official 50th Anniversary scarves and ties. Commenting on her involvement with the Anniversary she said, "it's so exciting to come back after all this time."

Long before Jessica was known for her designs, she was an Australian Karate Champion, winning her first National Gold Medal in the Girls 13 years Kumite. Throughout high school she juggled school work with competing on the national and world stage, coached by her father Branco. Jessica has 17 National Titles, 18 Australian Open Titles and 16 International medals to her name, the highlight being the Bronze she won at the 2006 World Championships in Finland.

Jessica remembers her time at Sacred Heart fondly, but it was one memory from Biology Camp that particularly stands out. "I was telling my best friend Mel to stop teasing a wasp and then it stung me!" Jessica also has fond memories of the help and support offered to her by Mr Cowan."He was easy-going and very relatable." The biggest changes Jessica sees in the school is, "just about everything around me."

Even though Jessica is proud of her career success, she sees her greatest achievement as her family. She and her husband Mitchell have two beautiful children, Rubika and Leo. Congratulations Jessica and good luck with the ongoing adventures!
