Melanie Perkins has a passion for Adventure. A member of the Class of 2004, Melanie hopes to make the world a little bit better than she found it. The Co-Founder and CEO of Canva, an online graphic design platform, Melanie believes her greatest achievement is, “building an amazing team of passionate, motivated people who are creating a product that is now loved by millions of people across the globe.”
Melanie's company has already accumulated more than 15 million monthly users and has been named the coolest tech company in Australia by Job Advisor and has a worth of over $2.5 billion.
Melanie remembers fondly her teachers, especially History teacher Mr Hart, who bought so much fun to the classroom, as well as Ms Fumi and Mr Rolls. She loved being involved in Duke of Edinburgh, debating teams, speech competitions and so many other extracurricular opportunities during her time at Sacred Heart, each leaving her with lasting memories.
Mr Hart was pretty chuffed to see Melanie's poster and said "Melanie was a fab student to teach, such a ball of energy and a truly lovely person. She was also highly creative and had a great sense of humour. She was truly one in a million!"
