We are seeking an energetic and passionate Education Support Teacher to join our College. This role commences mid Term 2, 2025 or start date is negotiable. This is an ongoing, full-time position but those interested in a high part-time FTE are encouraged to apply.
About the role:
Reporting directly to the Head of Inclusion, you will support the College’s ethos of achieving maximum inclusion for our Education Support students in all school activities.
Your responsibilities include:
- The ability to teach and assess literacy and numeracy for students of varying abilities.
- Strong working knowledge of positive behaviour support practices.
- Contribute to the development of the Individual Educational Programs (IEP’s) that promote the social and spiritual development of our students.
- Be innovative in your teaching methodologies, keeping up to date with current philosophical and pedagogical trends specifically in Education Support.
- Build positive working relationships within the existing Educational Support Team
- Build rapport with our student group and work in partnership with parent’s/care givers and external allied health providers to develop a holistic understanding of our students.

- Knowledge and experience of inclusive teaching practices, with the ability to support students with complex needs in a general classroom setting.
- Excellent ability to communicate to our students and parents with purpose and meaning.
- Curiosity and the desire to want to understand the perspective of our students by using well developed actively listening techniques.
- Passion and desire to have a positive impact on our Education Support students to grow lifelong learning attributes.
Desirable:
- Masters in Special Education
- Sounds-Write trained
- ASDAN trained
