We are seeking an innovative and highly skilled French Teacher, to join our dedicated Languages Department. This is a full time, temporary position for Term 2 only (Long Service Leave replacement).
About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Learning Area - Languages, the successful applicant will be a passionate French teacher with a demonstrated ability to be a dynamic and innovative educator who engages and encourages student learning.
Responsibilities as a French Teacher:
- The ability to teach French to Years 7–10 students.
- The ability to teach across another subject area would be advantageous. Religious Education would be preferred (but not essential).
- Ability to effectively manage a Pastoral Care Group (PCG).
- The ability to be innovative in current teaching methodologies, keeping up to date with current pedagogical trends in Languages.
- The ability to work collaboratively to build rapport with students, parents and all College employees to develop respectful, inclusive and positive working relationships.
What we are seeking:
- Highly skilled and competent teacher of French with knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum: Languages.
- Experience in writing and delivering differentiated programs in French.
- Ability to demonstrate a strong practice and application of contemporary pedagogical practices.
- The ability to promote and support a culture where students are supported to be the best they can.
- An awareness and appreciation for the Catholic ethos of the College.
