student swimming carnival

Last Wednesday, Sacred Heart created more history by winning the 'A' division ACC Swimming Carnival for the eighth year in succession.

The margin of 282 points was the biggest ever, surpassing the win of 270 points two years ago. The victory keeps alive the prospect of achieving the “octriple”- the three major carnivals in the one year for the eighth year in a row. Sacred Heart has won the last 24 carnivals in succession.

Without question, the team’s strength was in the freestyle events and in particular the depth of the relays. The boys had a great win in their section, winning all three trophies – Junior Boys, Senior Boys and Overall Boys. The girls once again won their Overall trophy and narrowly missed a clean sweep of trophies by one point to Mercedes College in the Junior Girls.
